Covid-19 and the Morningside Clinic in Sandton
Some of my cardiac patients have expressed concerns about walking through the public areas of the Morningside Clinic in order to get to my consulting rooms to deal with their respective heart conditions or complaints.
We feel it is safe to transit through the hospital lobby with the required masks in order to reach our offices and we highly recommend that patients do not delay their cardiac tests and treatments due to fears of contracting Covid-19 at the Morningside Clinic in Sandton.
For those of you that have concerns we can confirm that as of today
- All our staff are fully vaccinated against Covid-19.
- The lowering of restrictions to level-3 has caused a rise in cases and this may unfortunately continue for some foreseeable time. However, waiting for this crisis to pass before seeking treatment for your heart conditions is ill-advised since nobody knows how long this will continue on for.
We confirm the following to help reassure you
Any patients that appear to have Covid-19 symptoms are referred by us to a specialized unit and if they are in fact confirmed as positive they are treated by this specialized unit, not by our practice.
Covid-19 patients being treated at the Morningside Clinic in Sandton are strictly isolated from the rest of the hospital and from our practice.
- All our staff are regularly screened for Covid-19 and are fully vaccinated against Covid-19.
- Our offices are regularly sanitized and all personnel wear masks at all times.
- We utilize state-of-the-art equipment to keep our offices safe for our patients.
Therefore, if you have any cardiac conditions that you are concerned about, or are in need of a scheduled appointment, you are encouraged to call us at (011) 883-3460 or schedule an appointment online.
Also, feel free to email us if you have any concerns in general about Covid-19 and your heart.
